The creek that runs through the park down the street from my house.
This is crazy. Even during the summer of '07 when it rained almost every single day, the creek never topped it's banks. This happened in the space of about two hours. I knew it was bad when I crossed the adjoining street and the water came up over the windshield, but not until I got all the way over on the other side of the park did I see how high the creek was. All of the foreground in the picture is of the water washing over the road and the water stretches from one side of the picture to the other.

You DROVE in water that came up over your windshield???
Actually I was already halfway through it before I realized how deep it was. It was actually the aftersplash that came up over the windsheild. I went into a dip and the water came up and over my car. Anyway I had to go get the kids from school. They couldn't walk home in that.
Do you have any idea how dangerous that is?
